Little Big Town took the stage at the 2019 CMA Music Festival in Nashville in June to deliver a stunning acoustic performance of their latest singe, the female empowerment anthem "The Daughters."

The award-winning country harmony quartet gave one of the highlight performances of CMA Fest: The Music Event of Summer, which aired on Sunday night (Aug. 4) at 8PM ET on ABC. They stripped the song down to its essential acoustic elements for the special performance, which brought an even greatest emphasis to a heartfelt lyric about empowering young women.

10 Can't-Miss CMA Fest: The Music Event of Summer Performances:

"Oh girl wash your face before you come to the table / Girl know your place, be willing and able / Take it on the chin / Let the best man win / Girl shoulders back and stand up straight / Girl watch your mouth and watch your weight / Mind your manners / Smile for the camera / I've heard of God the Son and God the Father / I'm just looking for a God for the daughters," they sang in crystal-clear harmonies.

The song, which LBT singer Karen Fairchild wrote with Sean McConnell and Ashley Ray, is the first new track fans have heard from Little Big Town's forthcoming ninth studio album, which they are producing. They debuted the song live to a thunderstruck audience at the 2019 ACM Awards in April of 2019.
