Speed limits seem like a suggestion in the state sometimes don't they? We've all seen somebody go flying by us and they don't get pulled over. We've also seen a person not use a blinker, which is really annoying isn't it?

How Is Texas Ranked For Driving Overall?

To find out the answer, data has been revealed by Allstate. here are the factors used to determine how well all 50 states were ranked:

- Average Years Between Collisions
- Relative Collision Likelihood (to National Avg.)

In addition to that, changes over a ten year period were provided to show which towns improved or went down on the list. So the moment of truth has arrived. Where was Texas ranked?

Well, in a surprise turn of events, Texas was placed as the number one state in the nation for safe driving. The state had 23 cities make the list, with four making the top 20!

So that's great news for the state right? Well, now we have to keep the ranking high. So keep those hands at ten and two Texas!

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
