Sadly a Dallas bar is going out of business, but their last day of operation is up to the Red Raiders football team.

It was announced a few weeks ago that the Dallas sports bar High Fives would be closing after a decade of slinging drinks. The bar has become known as one the best Texas Tech bars in Dallas for Red Raiders fans. They will be open until New Year's Day when the Red Raiders are playing in the Orange Bowl. If the Red Raiders win, the bar will re-open for the next game.

Yesterday High Fives made the official announcement on their Facebook page about the closing, but you will notice some fine print at the bottom. If the Red Raiders keep winning, the bar re-opens on game days. Which means either January 9th or January 19th could technically be last day for High Fives in Dallas.

The Red Raiders are taking on the Oregon Ducks on New Year's Day. Texas Tech actually goes into the game as an underdog with the Ducks being favored by 1.5 points. According to FanDuel, Texas Tech currently has the fifth best odds to win the National Championship this year. FanDuel has Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, and Oregon with better odds than the Red Raiders on winning the whole thing.

We will have to wait and see what happens to the Red Raiders in just over a week and also what the fate of High Fives in Dallas will be. Hopefully the Red Raiders can keep on winning to help this bar get some extra bucks before they close for good.
