Over the weekend the NFL draft took place and after all seven rounds, several college football players from Texas colleges got drafted. Here is where everyone went.

Another NFL draft in the books and over thirty college athletes from the Lone Star State are moving onto the NFL. Here is a list of every player drafted from over the weekend. We will start with Texas A&M since they had the most players drafted from a Texas college.Draft info taken from KXAN.

Texas A&M and Texas Tech Had the Most Players Drafted

The Aggies just edged out the Red Raiders with more draft picks in the 2026 NFL draft. The Aggies had ten, while the Red Raiders had nine. Texas A&M tied their previous record they set in 1976 for the most players taken in one draft. Texas Tech may have more bragging rights since their player went second overall to the New York Jets.

Texas Longhorns Had No Player Selected in the First Round

For the first time since 2022, a Texas Longhorn did not go in the first round of the NFL draft. Texas last year had twelve players get drafted into the NFL, which was a record for them at the time. TCU was the next closest college with the most draft picks at three.

NFL Florida Teams Love the Texas Colleges

For some reason, the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars went heavy with Texas college athletes. The Dolphins used five of their picks on players from a Texas college, while the Jaguars used four of their picks to do the same. The only other team in Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had no picks used on a Texas player. For the players used to the warm Texas heat, they get to go enjoy that Florida humidity in a few months.
