Someone out there won $78 million from the Texas Lottery back in November, and they have yet to claim it. And if you know anything about the Texas Lottery, you know winners have 180 days to claim their prize. Yes, time is running out.

Texas Lottery Deadline: May 14 at 5 PM

The ticket must be validated at the Texas Lottery Headquarters by 5 pm Central Time on Thursday, May 14. The headquarters are located at 1801 Congress Avenue in Austin. After that, the winner forfeits any claim to the prize (which comes to $43,757,223.10 before taxes because the winner chose the cash value option).

I would hate to think that someone out there would miss their chance to claim a life-changing amount of money. So, let’s help get the word out and share this story as much as possible in hopes that it will reach the winner. It would be a shame if that jackpot went unclaimed.

Aside from awarding billions of dollars in prizes to players since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has also given billions of dollars to support education in the Lone Star State, as well as Texas veterans.
