Texas 325 Day Brings Abilene Together March 25
If there’s one thing I love about Abilene and the Big Country, it’s how we show up for each other, and on Wednesday, March 25, we’re about to do it in a BIG COUNTRY way.
They’re calling it “325 Day”, and it’s built around something every West Texan knows by heart, our 325 area code. But this isn’t just a clever number. It’s a full-on community-wide effort to support local businesses, help nonprofits, and celebrate what makes Abilene, Texas, special.

And I’ve got to give credit where it’s due, this entire idea was created by Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union, a group that continues to step up and invest in our community in meaningful ways.
What Is Texas 325 Day All About?
Simply put, it’s a day to shop local, give back, and have some fun doing it.
The Abilene Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with community partners to bring businesses, nonprofits, and our entire community together for a “pay it forward” style celebration. You’ll see local spots offering creative deals like:
- 32.5% discounts
- $3.25 specials or deals
- 3:25 PM happy hour events
And from what I’m hearing, there will be food, live music, and plenty of reasons to stay out and enjoy Texas 325 Day.
Texas Businesses and Nonprofits Working Together
What really makes this stand out is the partnership between local businesses and nonprofits. This isn’t just about sales, it’s about awareness and support. Nonprofits can sign up to be featured, while businesses team up with them to help shine a light on their mission.
That’s the kind of teamwork that builds a stronger West Texas.
There’s Still Time to Join Texas 325 Day
If you’re a business owner or part of a nonprofit, there’s still time to be part of it, but not much.
The registration deadline is Monday, March 23. You can sign up or learn more at 325day.com.
This is also a chance for businesses to get their name out there in a positive way, connect with the community, and be part of something bigger.
Why Texas 325 Day Matters to Abilene
To me, this is what Abilene is all about, neighbors helping neighbors, businesses supporting causes, and a community that takes pride in where we live.
So mark your calendar for March 25, get out, support local, grab a deal or two, and most importantly, be part of something that makes our city stronger.
Because when West Texas comes together like this, there’s nothing we can’t do.
