The Concho Valley Regional Food Bank announced in a press release today that they are hosting a mega food distribution event on Saturday, June 25th.

The food distribution will be held from 10 am until noon at both the San Angelo Coliseum and at the 1st Community Federal Credit Union Spur Arena parking lots.

Here is the way this event will be conducted. There will be one entry into the Coliseum parking lot from 43rd Street and no one will be able to enter the parking lot before 8:30 AM. A maximum of two households per vehicle will be allowed to enter and on-site registration will be required to receive the food.

The food is being provided by the San Antonio Food Bank and the  Concho Valley Regional Food Bank: The CVRFB is a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation. As an affiliate of the San Antonio Food Bank and members of both Feeding America and Feeding Texas, the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank is a community-based organization with the resources of a national campaign, currently working with many volunteers per year, with annual volunteer hours totaling over 3,000 and an outreach that extends through 13 counties in West Texas.

The Concho Valley Regional Food Bank's mission is to feed the hungry by soliciting, inspecting, warehousing and distributing purchased, donated and salvaged grocery product to non-profit agencies and churches for their clients in the Concho Valley. The Concho Valley Regional Food Bank, Inc. also extends opportunities for community members to engage in service within an environment that promotes community interaction and is enthusiastic about ending the poverty cycle.
