Dallas Cowboys Stadium Video Shown to be Airport in Afghanistan is False
Sometimes or maybe most times, things you see on the Internet are not what they appear. Check out the below case in point.
The video is not from Afghanistan, it's actually from here in Texas.
(T)he footage in the claim section above is not from Kabul. Instead, it is from Arlington, Texas, in 2019.
The video shows people running into the AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, an American football team.
The video was tweeted by a reporter before a game between the Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.
Certainly, everything that is happening in Kabul, Afghanistan is a horrible situation for those over there. And attention needs to be given to what is happening, but to be misleading just to get Internet clicks is not right and is part of what is wrong with the Internet today.
Quite a few people believed what they saw in the tweet and word spread fast about this misleading video. And tweets like this that deceive people have been going around for years.
The tweet from above was posted by the Tennessee Republican Party claiming to be a supposed Donald Trump rally in Phoenix, but it was actually a picture of a championship parade for a basketball team in Cleveland, Ohio.
