Congrats Are in Order! San Angelo Rodeo Named ‘Large Rodeo of the Year’!
This past weekend was a big weekend for the organizers of the San Angelo Rodeo. The Rodeo hosted their Cinch Roping Fiesta along with a concert with Josh Ward and special guest Triston Marez.
And on Friday, the Women's Professional Rodeo Association bestowed the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo with its award for the 2021 Large Rodeo of the Year.
According to the WPRA web site:
Rodeo committees have long been the backbone of the rodeo industry and that has never been more apparent given all the challenges the pandemic has inflicted over the last two years. Without the hardworking rodeo committees, the industry would have a hard time existing. Winning the WPRA Large Rodeo of the Year award in 2021 is the San Angelo (Texas) Stock Show and Rodeo.
What a tremendous honor this is for the rodeo here in San Angelo. The Rodeo will be officially recognized at the WPRA Star Celebration at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada one month from tomorrow on Thursday, December 2nd.
Great job and congrats to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo. We have all known for years that the rodeo here is one of the best there is out there and it's good to see those who put it all together get national recognition for all their efforts.
We cannot wait until February for the 2022 edition of the San Angelo Rodeo, and we know it's going to be another award-winning event. It all starts on February 3rd and will run through February 20th. Get ready!
