Chris Young’s ‘Hangin’ On’ Becomes His 11th No. 1 Hit
If the number of exclamation points in an Instagram post is any indication of how psyched Chris Young is to tell the world that he has scored his eleventh No. 1 hit with "Hangin’ On," the Tennessee native is excited.
“Hangin’ On is my 11th number one!!!!!,” Young writes alongside a screenshot of the Mediabase Country Radio Chart that shows him sitting on top. "It’s official! Shoutout to my co-writers Corey Crowder and Josh Hoge. Hellllllllllll yes!!!!"
The accomplishment is a milestone, as it represents Young’s fifth consecutive No. 1 hit following "I’m Comin’ Over," "Think of You," "Sober Saturday Night" and "Losing Sleep."
"Making music is all I’ve ever wanted to do, so to be celebrating my 11th #1 really is a dream come true," he says..
While Young is currently on a break from the road, the Grand Ole Opry member will be back on his Losing Sleep World Tour on Nov. 29 alongside openers Dan + Shay and Morgan Evans.
Young has also teased new music, and in a new interview spilled what he has planned for 2019. "I think just continuing to make this tour, my career and everything we’ve been working on for next year bigger and better," he says. "That’s really and truly one of the things I’m constantly thinking about: How do we improve this? Even if it’s just a little bit."
