Since winning Season 3 of The Voice in 2012 and releasing her debut album, Frame By Frame, in 2013, Cassadee Pope has been busy touring, writing and recording. Now, she's ready to release her second studio album, Stages, on Feb. 1.

Pope has teased new music from her sophomore project with the recent releases of “Take You Home” and “One More Red Light.” In a press release, Pope says, "It’s a validating feeling to look back at a painful moment, and see how I was able to put the pieces back together and come back stronger.

“For the first time in my life, I’m confident in the way I navigate things thrown my way," she adds, "and I hope someone listening finds the same strength.”

The past couple of years have brought with them personal and professional upheaval for Pope: In January of 2017, she ended her engagement to longtime love Rian Dawson, drummer for the band All Time Low, and left her record label and management team. When she next went into the studio, she simply decided to cut what she felt like cutting.

"It was a different experience than any I'd had before, because I didn't have a whole team piping in about what they thought it should sound like, or which songs would be best to cut," Pope says. "I wrote some pretty heartbreaking songs, and also some happy ones. I brought in songs that I'd written in the past. We picked a few that I was really passionate about and cut them."

In addition to creating Stages, Pope has appeared onstage and in the studio with some of country's biggest names, including Lindsay Ell and Maren Morris. It was her 2016 collaboration with Chris Young, "Think of You," that earned her her first No. 1 on the charts, along with numerous awards nods.

Stages was produced by Corey Crowder, who also co-wrote "Think of You." Pope will hit the road in support of Stages as the headliner of CMT’s 2019 Next Women of Country Tour in April.
