Brett Eldredge and His Mama on a Skate Date Is the Sweetest Video
Brett Eldredge fully embraced the holiday season during a recent trip to Chicago. The country crooner even got his mom Robin involved as the two had a mother-son date while ice skating at Chicago's Millennium Park.
"My mother is a world class skater," Eldredge praises in a video posted to Instagram as the two hold hands while skating around the rink. "Just making sure she gets her way around here. She's holding me up here in Chicago, Millennium Park."
His mom laughs along and is all smiles while he discusses her skating skills, but it seems she's still trying to get the hang of ice skating.
"How you doing mom?" he asks at one point.
"Trying to make the turn," she admits.
The Illinois native's skating adventure took place around a recent tour stop in his home state for his current Glow Live Tour. The five-date run kicked off in Canada and included a trip to Chicago for a show on Dec. 5. Eldredge will close out his tour with two sold-out performances in Nashville on Dec. 14 and 15.
Eldredge released the deluxe edition of his 2016 Christmas album Glow earlier this year, adding five new songs including "Silver Bells," "A Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Do You Hear What I Hear?" The project also included a stirring a cappella rendition of "The First Noel," which recently received the music video treatment.
"We set up a microphone in this beautiful, historic church, and, as some of my closest team and friends sat in the pews, I sang the song a cappella, with words echoing up and down the halls. It was truly a magical experience and one the rawest performances I’ve ever been a part of," he tells Esquire.
Eldredge also performed as part of the CMA Country Christmas special on Monday (Dec. 10).
