Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini to Host 2019 CMA Fest Broadcast
Radio host and American Idol advisor Bobby Bones has been added as a special guest host for the three-hour Aug. 4 broadcast. It's the third year the two singers have been paired to navigate viewers through CMA Fest highlights, the fourth year overall for Rhett and the 16th year the show has been broadcast on television.
Taping for the broadcast will happen June 6-9 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Dozens of country music stars will take the stage for mini-sets of music, and about 30 will be packaged for television airplay. Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris and Keith Urban are a few of the most-anticipated performances. Fans can attend the shows each night. Tickets are still available through the CMA Fest website.
The Nissan Stadium shows are the highlight of four days of music and fan interaction across downtown Nashville every year. Over 300 artists perform at various venues, bars and pop-up locations. The mid-summer broadcast of the festival captures scenes from all over between main stage performances. Brett Young, Ballerini, Little Big Town, Rhett, Dan + Shay and Luke Bryan are a few more of the artists slated for Nissan Stadium.
