2019 CMA Awards: Major Collaborative Performances Announced
Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton, Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson and more pairs will take the stage during the 2019 CMA Awards. The Country Music Association announced the additions to the annual award's show's lineup on Tuesday (Oct. 29).
In addition to Brooks and Shelton, who will sing their current single "Dive Bar," and Musgraves and Nelson, whose "heartwarming collaboration ... has been decades in the making," according to a press release, the 2019 CMA Awards have also added Brooks & Dunn and Brothers Osborne and Lady Antebellum and pop star Halsey to the lineup. The former pair will be singing Brooks & Dunn's hit "Hard Workin' Man," while the latter duo will perform a "genre-defying mashup," the release reports.
Additionally, solo performances by Kelsea Ballerini ("Homecoming Queen?"), Dan + Shay ("Speechless"), Old Dominion ("One Man Band"), Shelton ("God's Country") and Thomas Rhett ("Remember You Young") have been added to the show as well. They all join previously announced performers Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and pop star Pink, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Dolly Parton with for King & Country and Zach Williams, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
The 2019 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 13, at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. McEntire, Parton and Underwood will co-host the event, which will also be highlighting some of country music's female artists. Additional performers, as well as a list of presenters, will be announced in the coming weeks.
