Weekend Garage Sales,Festivals,Veteran’s Meal and More!

There's lots of fun events going on this weekend all across the Concho Valley, so try to make as many as you can!
Saturday, Nov. 8th Events:

The Water Valley Community Garage Sale will be from 8 until 2. Maps of sale sites and food will be available at the Water Valley Community Center on Cooper Avenue. For more information call 276-2710 or 656-8148.

The Irion County 4-H Hunter Appreciation Dinner will be at the Mertzon Community Center. The meal begins at 11, raffle at 12:30 and tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids 12 & under. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each and there’s lots of guns, scopes, knives, coolers and more to win. Call the Extension office at 835-2711 for more information.

The Greek Bake Sale will be from 9 until 2 at the Greek Orthodox Church at 801 Montecito. There will be a wide variety of delicious pastries & pies and you can enjoy a gyro (yeer’ oh) lunch for $9.00, which includes chips & drink. Call Ann for more information at 374-2394.

All Military veterans and their families are invited to a free meal at the San Angelo Elks Lodge from 1 until 5. The meal will be served after the Veteran’s Day Parade at the lodge at 2121 S. Chadbourne. If you know a military veteran, please tell them about this free meal to honor their service to our country. Call Harry at 227-6920 for more information.

The Wall Brethren Church Fall Festival begins at 5:30. Enjoy a tasty barbeque dinner for $10.00 for adults, Children under 12 for $5.00. To go plates are available for $10.00 per plate. There will be games for all ages, country store, silent auction, and the live auction begins at 7:15.

Sunday, November 9th:

The HEB Feast of Sharing will be at the Wells Fargo Pavilion from 11 until 2. Enjoy a great meal, entertainment, and much more.
It’s free, and everyone is welcome to attend. Volunteers are still needed, and you can stop by HEB’s information desk to sign up.

The 92^nd St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Fall Festival in Rowena. Enjoy a turkey & Rowena style German Sausage lunch from 11-1:30 with to go plates available for $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 10 & under. There will be games, bingo, prize drawings, country store, uncooked sausage for sale while it lasts and more. Call 365-2966 for more information.
