Urgent Need for Blood in San Angelo

United Blood Services has less than a 1 Day Supply of O Negative, A Negative and O Positive Blood Types.

For the past 2 weeks, donations have been down due to the flu epidemic and other illnesses. Due to a shortage of these blood types, UBS can not fill hospital orders.
Doctors are already delaying elective surgeries, and may soon have to delay other needed surgeries. Patients may not be able to get the life saving blood they need.

If you have access to Goodfellow, there's a blood drive Friday from 3:30-6:30. You can also donate at United Blood Services, 2020 W. Beauregard on Monday,Tuesday & Thursday from Noon until 6, Wednesday & Friday from 8 until 2, or Saturday from 9 until 2. Call 223-7500 to make an appointment or just walk in and donate!
