Tutu Calendar

The San Angelo Civic Ballet (SACB) is selling a 2013 wall calendar as a celebration of their 30th Anniversary & a fundraiser.
The calendar features well-known local citizens posing in their everyday environments wearing a tutu. Calendar models include Dr. Robert Alexander (San Angelo Community Medical Center, Roger Allen (Chicken Farm Art Center), Bob Bluthardt (Fort Concho), Dr. Carol Ann Bonds (SAISD), Brent Davis (Central Football Coach), John Fuentes (Fuentes Café), Pierce Holt (Rancher, Former NFL Player), Deanna Mayfield (Mayfield Paper Co.), Carolyn McEnrue (KLST Anchor), Terry Mills (singer/songwriter), Alvin New (San Angelo mayor), Ralph Powell (community volunteer), and Dr. Karl Wehner (Shannon Medical Center).

The public is asked to submit their vote for who they would like to see as the calendar cover model on the Civic Ballet's Facebook Page. Voting ends Oct. 12th. The Winner of the cover model contest will be revealed at an unveiling event to be held at the Black Swan the first week of November.

Calendars go on sale November 5th for $20.00 each. They can be purchases at the Ballet office located at 15 W. Beauregard and at various retail outlets around San Angelo. All proceeds from calendar sales benefit the SACB Tuition Assistance program which provides reduced tuition rates for Academy dance classes to low-income and underprivileged children. San Angelo Civic Ballet is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 which has never turned away a child who shows a desire to dance. SACB Academy classes include classical ballet, creative movement, tap and jazz and are all taught by professionally trained instructors following a classical syllabus.
