Shannon Medical Center is sponsoring the 13th annual Gus Eckhardt Trauma Symposium this Saturday, April 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the West Texas Training Center in San Angelo.
The Symposium provides continuing education for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and EMTs and paramedics seeking to enhance their skills in caring for and managing trauma patients.

Some of the speakers for this year’s event include: Alexander Eastman, M.D., assistant professor in the surgery department at UT Southwestern Dallas; James Phelps, Ph.D., assistant professor of border and homeland security with the Center for Security Studies at Angelo State University; James Williams, M.D., Shannon Clinic family practice-Big Lake; Jason Felger, M.D., Shannon Clinic thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon; and Anthony De Mory, M.D., Shannon Clinic nephrologist.
