A San Angelo man was arrested for drug charges late Wednesday night after police located methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
On February 19, 2014, just before 11:00 p.m., San Angelo Police Officer B. Hunter initiated a traffic stop on a white 2011 Kia for a defective headlamp.  The traffic stop was initiated in the 1800 block of Henderson St, however; the driver did not stop for the officer until the unit block of E. 18th when the driver pulled into a private driveway.

During the course of the traffic investigation, officers located several small plastic baggies that each contained a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and had a collective weight of approximately 18 grams. 

The subject, identified as Uvaldo Ramos of San Angelo, was arrested.  During a search of Ramos incident to his arrest, officers located over $2,700 cash and two cell phones.  These items, along with the narcotics, were seized and tagged into evidence.

Ramos was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.  He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 (4G-200G).
