If you want to see a good rumor in action, start telling folks around San Angelo that a winter storm is headed our way. People tend to react in a couple of ways. First, there is the Texas bravado. Second, are the people who immediately go into survivalist mode.

San Angelo Police and Fire Department personnel assisted several motorists who were stranded in their vehicles during Friday Night's storm.

The National Weather Service is expecting severe weather for this Tuesday, 3/28, and the SKYWARN Training scheduled for March 28th has been postponed.

Angelo State University has again been certified as a “StormReady University” by the National Weather Service, renewing the designation first earned by ASU in 2010.

This Wednesday,November 18, is designated as Winter Weather Awareness Day in West Central Texas.
