Irion County seventh-grader Tatum Schwaighofer, TLCA sophomore Harrison Ragan and Wall High School senior Kyla Reid were the first-place winners of the Christmas at Old Fort Concho student art contest.

Fort Concho’s annual Night Tours on Monday, Oct. 24, offer the opportunity to see San Angelo’s national historic landmark “in a different light.”

To mark the 150th Anniversary of the act of Congress that created Buffalo Soldier units in the U.S. Army, Fort Concho will host a special ceremony and talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, on the fort’s Parade Ground.

Celebrate National Cowboy Day at Fort Concho on Saturday, July 23, beginning with a classic cowboy breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by performances by the Concho Cowboy Company.
