Ft Concho Armed Forces Day Celebration
Fort Concho will honor our nation’s military with its annual Armed Forces Day celebration Saturday, May 20. Active-duty personnel and retired military members plus their families will be admitted free to the site all day.
‘World War I and America’ Traveling Exhibit
In conjunction with its Great War Commemoration Lecture Series, the Angelo State University Department of History is co-hosting a special “World War I and America” traveling exhibit that will be on public display April 1-24 at Fort Concho.
Fort Concho Baseball Heritage Day
As part of its ongoing 150th birthday celebration, Fort Concho will host a Baseball Heritage Day on Saturday, April 1, with a full schedule of talks, book signings, trivia contests and a vintage baseball clinic.
Fort Concho Celebrates Buffalo Soldiers
Henry Crawford, a retired curator of history at Texas Tech Museum and a longtime living history re-enactor, will speak at Fort Concho on Buffalo Solider Heritage Day about the life and times of these soldiers.
City of San Angelo Holiday Schedule
City offices will be closed Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. There will be no interruption in garbage service during the holidays.
