You have the opportunity to help in the fight against hunger, specifically in San Angelo, Texas. We are so blessed most of the times, that sometimes we don't realize the very real people, the very real children who are unsure of their next meal. We can change that.

Albertsons Market is helping the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank by asking for your generous donation of food or cash now through the NFL's Spectacularly Big & Extreme Championship Game on Feb. 1st.

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a collaborative, nationwide effort of retailers, National Football League teams, congregations, schools and individuals working to eliminate hunger. To donate, Albertsons Market guests can purchase pre-packaged bags of food for $9 at checkout or add $1 scan tags to their bill during checkout now through Sunday, Feb. 1.

“The Souper Bowl of Caring program offers a wonderful opportunity for our Albertsons Market stores to connect with our communities and make an impact on food insecurity locally,” said Shelby Crews, senior community relations manager for The United Family, which operates Albertsons Market locations.

Since Souper Bowl of Caring was founded in 1990, volunteers have collected more than $100 million in cash and food, with 100 percent of all donations going directly to community food banks, soup kitchens or other charities chosen by each group.
