Sonrisas is a non-profit that helps kids with physical, mental and emotional challenges through a carefully structured program of equine activities. Sonrisas works with kids ages 3-11 and they need your help to assist . The children learn valuable lessons, and gain all sorts of benefits, when being taught something as 'simple' as riding. It can help boost self-confidence, provide emotional support, and help improve their physical well being, and that doesn't even touch on what else it can do for a child.

Volunteers are so important, and cherished at Sonrisas because they are what help hold the program together. Sonrisas is truly a non-profit organization, and unlike some programs, Sonrisas does not charge the families of children in need, which is where volunteers come into play. Volunteer Training will be at 10am on Monday, March 2nd, at the Sonrisas Riding Facility at 167 Lake View Heroes Drive (under the Lake View water tower).

Sonrisas kids ride on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week, and at 9:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m., and again at 1:00 p.m. Spring riding sessions begin on March 3rd.
