Shannon Clinic is recognized by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Performance and Practices of Successful Medical Groups: 2013Report Based on 2012 Data. The association recognized the Clinic as a “better performer” due to superior operational performance and patient satisfaction compared with similar medical group practices nationwide.
Shannon was classified as a better-performer in the performance area(s) of: Cost Management and Patient Satisfaction. Only three other clinics in the state of Texas received recognition for both of these areas. The Clinic has more than 200 providers in 18 locations including San Angelo, Big Lake, Ozona and Sweetwater. Each month, Shannon Clinic also provides specialists in six additional West Texas communities.

“We are here to provide quality care and outstanding healthcare professionals for our patients throughout the communities we serve,” said Gary Gibian, Shannon Clinic Executive Director. “Patient satisfaction is a critical component when adding new providers and expanding our services throughout the region.”

The MGMA report has provided data to medical groups for more than a decade. In addition to the data report, the association analyzed management behaviors, practices and procedures of better performers. The report profiles medical practices that have demonstrated success in one or more areas: profitability and cost management; productivity, capacity and staffing; accounts receivable and collections; and patient satisfaction.
