Two San Angelo residents are facing drug charges after an SAPD Service Dog alerted Officers during a recent traffic stop.

On Monday, September 14, 2015, just before 10:00 p.m., San Angelo Police stopped a white 1993 Ford Expedition in the 700 block of E. 22nd Street for traffic violations.

During the stop, police identified the driver, Willie Lloyd, Jr., and passenger, Aletha M. Rose.  During a records search, Rose was identified as having an outstanding County Arrest Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Police K9 Supervisor Chris Cimino and Police Service Dog Vader were called to the scene to assist.  Vader conducted an open-air “sniff” of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for the presence of contraband.

Officers then conducted a Probable Cause Search and located approximately 3.8 grams of suspected crack cocaine inside Lloyd’s pocket.  The substance field-tested positive for the presence of cocaine.  Police also located approximately 2.6 grams of marijuana from underneath the front passenger’s seat.

Lloyd was issued a Citation for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and charged with Felony 2 Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Rose was charged with Class A Possession of Marijuana.  Both were transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.

A San Angelo man, 30 year old Brandon Berry, was arrested yesterday, September 15, 2015, on a warrant stemming from an investigation of Improper Visual Recording.

On Friday, September 11, 2015, San Angelo Police were contacted about a juvenile victim who stated she had been video recorded without her knowledge while she was in the shower.  Detective Jeremy Cannady was contacted to conduct an investigation.  Through his investigation, it was learned the suspect was Brandon Berry.  Detective Cannady was able confirm the video had been taken.

A warrant was issued for Berry’s arrest for Improper Photography or Visual Recording on September 15, 2015.  He was located in the 4400 block of S Chadbourne around 11:00 am on the same day and taken into custody without incident.
