Do you recognize this vehicle? San Angelo Police are searching for a male suspect in a hit and run crash that occurred over the weekend on SAISD property. On Sunday, July 19, 2015, a tan Ford pickup truck pulled into the parking lot near the marching field at the Central High School campus when it crashed into an unoccupied blue SAISD van. The crash occurred just before 6:30 p.m. during soccer practice. Surveillance video shows a dark colored pickup pulling into a parking space, followed by the suspect’s tan pickup. After the suspect crashed into the SAISD van, he parked in another spot, got out of his truck and entered the dark pickup. A short time later, the suspect got out of the dark pickup, returned to his truck and drove away, followed by the dark pickup. Police believe the trucks’ drivers are acquaintances. [Video Skips] Suspect Vehicle: Tan colored four-door extended cab Ford truck with chrome step rails and red “FX” letters on both sides of the truck’s bed. A red object, possibly a gas can, and several white boxes can be seen inside the truck’s bed. There also appears to be a dark blue or black hooded jacket/sweatshirt draped over the boxes. The truck may have sustained damage to the right front passenger side.Suspect: young Hispanic male, white tank top, black shorts, white cap, and white athletic shoes.Acquaintance: Unknown male wearing a yellow and dark colored two-toned shirt. [UPDATED] 10:00 AM: The San Angelo PD Facebook page reports that suspect involved in this hit and run turned himself in without incident. They stated, "The driver will be charged with Failure to Stop and Leave Information upon Striking an Unattended Vehicle"
