While working routine patrol Officer Pruit attempted to stop a vehicle which had failed to stop at designated stop sign at the corner of North Hwy 87 & Humble Road.
Officer Pruit activated his emergency equipment at which time the vehicle failed to yield right of way. The vehicle evaded southbound and came to a stop at the Resort at Riverside located in the 3300blk. of N. Bryant.

The driver of the vehicle evaded on foot but was not located. The two passengers in the vehicle evaded as well but they were quickly apprehended in the immediate area.

The first passenger was identified as Thomas Nuncio (12-18-85). Nuncio was found to be in possession of approximately 14 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, an illegal knife, and a 9mm handgun. A wants & warrants check on Nuncio revealed that he was a convicted felon.

The second passenger was identified as Justin Zamora (11-15-87) who showed to have an outstanding Parole warrant for his arrest.

Thomas Nuncio was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of CS PG1 4g<200g, Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot, and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.

Justin Zamora was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention of foot with previous convictions and a Parole Warrant.

Detective Hethcock and Detective Moore are conducting the follow-up investigation.
