The City of San Angelo’s water billing office will be open this Saturday, Feb. 9, for customers who have made an appointment in advance to address unresolved billing questions, concerns and issues with a customer service representative.
Appointments can be made by calling the Water Customer Service Division at (325) 657-4323 before 5 p.m. this Wednesday, Feb. 6. The appointments are meant to address specific concerns customers have about their individual accounts. Interim Water Utilities Director Ricky Dickson explained the appointments will allow customer service representatives time to gather the details of the customer’s concern and the account’s history prior to the appointment. The process should also ensure that customers are accommodated in an orderly and efficient manner, Dickson said.

Opening the water billing office, 122 W. 1st St., is a move to conveniently assist customers, particularly those who are at work during the office’s normal business hours. It will also allow customer service representatives to hone in on customers’ specific concerns about their individual accounts, Dickson said.

“We sincerely want our citizens to have a pleasant and productive customer service experience each and every time they approach their municipal government,” City Manager Daniel Valenzuela said. “Service is the obvious and overarching mission for all of us who work for the City. Opening the water billing office on a Saturday in order to more easily help our customers is a move to raise that level of service.”

Each customer will be scheduled to spend 20 minutes with a customer service representative. If resolving an issue takes more than 20 minutes, the service representative will follow up with the customer at a later date.
