San Angelo Police are investigating two Robbery calls that occurred Monday night, May 2nd.

At 10:13 pm, San Angelo Police responded to a robbery call at the 7-11 located at 1719 Kenwood.  The clerk and a witness reported a young Hispanic male entered the store wearing black clothing with his face covered.  The suspect appeared to be approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall and weigh approximately 130-150 pounds and was wearing a dark colored backpack. The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the money from the cash register.  The suspect left the store prior to Officers arriving on scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect was not located.  No one in the store was injured during the robbery.

At 11:28 pm, San Angelo Police responded to a second call for a Robbery at the Allsups located at 3802 Sherwood Way.  The description of the suspect given by the clerk matched the description given from the Robbery earlier in the night at 1719 Kenwood.  The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the money from the cash register.  The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was not located.  No one in the store was hurt during the robbery.

Detective Russell is the lead investigator for both Robbery calls.  It is believed at this time both Robberies were committed by the same suspect.
