Looking for someplace new to have a bite and hear some music in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? Texas native Randy Rogers is making his first foray into the restaurant business with ChopShop Live, a restaurant and music venue that is slated to open in Roanoke in July.

Rogers partnered with a pair of seasoned restaurateurs, Josh Babb and Sean Clavir of Rock Libations, who are behind several other hotspots in the area. This marks the first restaurant, bar and worldwide club of its kind in Roanoke, which sits about 25 minutes outside of Dallas.

The venue will have the capability to host shows with capacity up to 1200 fans, and will offer a unique environment consisting of salvage yard pieces from across the country. The American-style cuisine will be whipped up and served from a fresh scratch kitchen.

"Randy & I have been dear friends for years, and when I told him about this project he immediately asked how he could be involved," co-owner Babb said in a statement. "Having Randy's expertise to guide us along our first music venue has already proven to be invaluable. Both Sean and myself are so grateful to have him on board."

The spot will host an opening party on July 14 featuring live music and a chance to check out the vibe firsthand.

Rogers has headed up the Randy Rogers Band for more than 15 years, and the band is poised to release its ninth studio album this fall.
