There aren't many who can make a Pontiac GTO sound soulful, but country-Americana trio Puss n Boots do it easily in their new album's track 'GTO,' and this live performance -- premiering exclusively for Taste of Country readers first -- is proof that these girls could make a cardboard box sound sexy.

The GTO, a specific model built by Pontiac from 1964 to 1974 was also produced from 2004-2006, and receives an artistic renovation from Puss n Boots. Comprised of Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper, the trio lend their crooning harmonies to this track off new album 'No Fools, No Fun,' released Tuesday (July 15).

"I've got a GTO / Sittin' here in my backyard / And oh lordy, don't you know / I've been working hard / And I'm gonna make it go / Soon we will be free / In my GTO / My sweetheart and me," sings Dobson as Jones and Popper blend effortlessly into her vocals.

It's no surprise, then, that Dobson admits, “We have always thrived on our live performance. We rage onstage.”

The women will be touring along the east coast throughout July in promotion of their new record. If it sounds like they've had a lot of practice, they have. Puss n Boots was created eight years ago, and they've been playing together ever since.
