Forget the old saying “April showers bring May flowers.” It’s obvious that those gloomy spring downpours have a much brighter outcome — a flood of new songs on the radio for May 2012.

The long list of new tunes to hit the airwaves this month includes some of country music’s biggest names, like Kenny Chesney, who just dropped a new single dubbed ‘Come Over’ to the airwaves. Nevermind the fact that his duet with Tim McGraw on ‘Feel Like a Rock Star’ is still on fire, Chesney is hoping to double-up with yet another hit.

Also new on the radio for May 2012 is a brand new tune from Blake Shelton, which he debuted live on ‘The Voice.’ ‘Over,’ the fourth single from ‘Red River Blue,’ is a love ballad which is sure to be a hit with fans and deejays alike.

Following in his footsteps, Lady Antebellum too debuted a new single on ‘The Voice,’ delivering a happy helping of ‘Wanted You More’ during the season finale. Also blasting out of your speakers just in time for summer is a new one from Lee Brice, Randy Travis‘ latest ‘More Life’ and Rodney Atkins‘ desire to party.
