New Poll Shows 60% Of Americans Favor Legalization Of Pot

A new Gallup poll shows the highest support for marijuana use in all the years that they have been posing the question.Between October 5th and 9th, Gallup surveyed over 1000 Americans ages 18 and older. The question was worded, "Do you think the use of marijuana should be made legal, or not?

As you might suspect, support for legalization was higher among the younger crowd but still impressive, even in the older age groups.

The new new poll shows 77% of adults ages 18 to 34 are in favor of legal weed, while 45% of adults ages 55 and older support it.

It will be interesting to see what happens on November 8th. Five more states, California, Arizona, Massachusetts, Maine and Nevada will be voting on the legalization of pot for recreational use.
