Sometimes no matter what you do, your plants can get sick. By attending this Friday's Lunch ‘n’ Learn Gardening class, you’ll become a plant detective and be able to identify problems with pests and diseases.
Allison Watkins, AgriLife Extension Horticulturist, will be conducting the class on “CSI: Plant Detective Unit (plant pests)” She will show you what to look for and what symptoms can indicate problems. She will also tell you how to treat the problems when they show up in your landscape and garden.

The class is this Friday from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your questions about other landscape challenges, too. The class will be held in the Commissioners’ Court on the second floor of the Edd B. Keys building, 113 W. Beauregard. Cost is only $5 per class. Feel free to bring your lunch.

The proceeds from the classes will go to The People/Plant Connection toward the building of the education garden in Rio Vista Park.

If you would like more information about The People/Plant Connection, call 325-656-3104. For questions about the classes call Allison Watkins at the County Extension office, 325-659-6528
