Fall is getting closer and it’s the time to plant wildflower seeds. Learn how to have the most success and find out what the best varieties grow best in the Concho Valley. Allison Watkins, AgriLife Extension Horticulturist, will be conducting the class on “Wildflowers”.
She will show you how to plant the seeds and what to do to make sure there is a good showing next spring. She will also show some specific varieties that do well in our area. The class is Friday, August 16 from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your questions about other landscape challenges, too. The class will be held in the Commissioners’ Court on the second floor of the Edd B. Keys building, 113 W. Beauregard. Cost is only $5 per class. Feel free to bring your lunch in you are on your lunch hour. The proceeds from the classes will go to The People/Plant Connection to building the education garden in Rio Vista Park. If you would like more information about The People/Plant Connection, call 325-656-3104. For questions about the classes call Allison Watkins at the County Extension office, 325-659-6528.
