Latest Big Lake Update

Here is the latest from Big Lake, Courtesy of  the Big Lake Wildcat.  Marcus Madison tried to kill himself .

Marcus "Mark" Madison was transported by AirMed-1 helicopter to Shannon Hospital in San Angelo after being taken into custody by Texas Rangers and SWAT officers.

The Big Lake Wildcat has learned that Madison shot himself in the head with a "high-powered rifle or shotgun." His injuries are said to be extensive.

Madison is suspected in Wednesday's shooting death of RCSO deputy Josh Mitchell.

He was transported by ambulance to the Reagan County Airport where he was loaded onto the helicopter. Texas Ranger Nick Hanna accompanied Madison on the flight.
