Kirby Park to Host Free Showing of ‘Grinch’

Kirby Park will host a free showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” this Saturday, Dec. 12.

The latest addition to the Recreation Division’s popular Movie in the Park series, the screening of the Christmas classic, which is based on Dr. Seuss’ book and stars comedian Jim Carrey, will begin about 5:45 p.m. (shortly after dusk). Kirby Park is located at 1400 Edmund Blvd.

Families are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks and coolers, but are reminded that glass containers are prohibited in city parks. Free hot cocoa and coffee will also be served at the movie.
