Keith Urban is performing on 'American Idol' Thursday night (May 1), taking a break from his judge's chair to show fans why he's won four Grammy Awards. Fans can catch a stripped down version of what he's playing in this rehearsal video of his track 'Good Thing.'

Instead of keeping the beat with drums, bass, or any other instruments, Urban's band sits with him in a trailer -- not the trailer -- drumming on boxes and their laps As they practice together, the country superstar and another band member play acoustic guitar, and Urban sings the undeniably catchy song.

The song is off of Urban's No. 1 record 'Fuse' which has had several hits, including 'Cop Car,' 'Little Bit of Everything,' and 'We Were Us,' which features Miranda Lambert.

After his performance, Urban will head to Nashville for his 5th annual All for the Hall benefit concert taking place on May 6. The singer amped up the excitement for the show by explaining that it would be an "extremely unique and revealing night for everyone."

Fans can catch Urban's performance on 'Idol' on Thursday, May 1 at 9PM ET on FOX.
