Jason Aldean has announced his second annual Concert for the Kids benefit show in his hometown of Macon, Ga. Scheduled to take place on Aug. 11, the benefit concert for Navicent Health, a local children's hospital, is a one-night-only event and will be held at the Macon Coliseum.

Aldean's first Concert for the Kids in 2016 raised more than $500,000 for the cause through an intimate, stripped-down performance from the country star. Due to the success of the inaugural event, Aldean decided to expand the event's second iteration to a larger, amplified venue.

“Supporting these kids in Macon and their families is something that I’m really proud to be a part of,” Aldean says (quote via Taste of Country). “We’re looking forward to getting back to town, kicking things up a couple notches and hopefully raise a huge amount of money for the hospital so that they can continue to grow and serve my hometown community.”

In a press release, the Navicent Health Foundation shared their gratitude for the dedication that Aldean has shown to their organization.

“We are thrilled and so very appreciative that Jason made the time to take a detour from his They Don’t Know Tour to visit Macon for the benefit of our patients,” says Ellen Terrell, chief development officer for the Navicent Health Foundation. “Our young patients and their families are grateful for Jason’s continued commitment to their healing and care."

Aldean's Concert for the Kids is just one of a number of ways that the singer gives back. He also hosts an annual Concert for the Cure in support of breast cancer research.

One of the few country stars on Forbes' Highest-Paid Celebrities 2017 list, Aldean is currently touring in support of his latest album, They Don't Know. He and his wife Brittany are also preparing for the arrival of their first child together, a baby boy; the singer has two daughters, 14-year-old Keeley and 9-year-old Kendyl, from his first marriage.
