Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I know I can’t wait to go back home for a few days and spend some time with the people who I love the most.

This holiday is also known for letting people express what they are thankful for. There are many things I am thankful for, but my top three things to be thankful for this year are:

My family. No matter what day or time it is, I always have fun with my family. They have always been supportive of me throughout my life, and I’m always grateful to have them by my side. Each of my family members is talented in one way or another and I love catching up with them to learn about what they’ve been doing. Whether I’m sitting and playing guitar with my cousins, or eating my grandmother’s famous homemade turkey and gravy, I know that I will have an excellent time.

I am also thankful for food. As a person who loves to try new things, I am very happy to currently be located in San Angelo where there are plenty of options to choose from. From my friends’ homemade meals to the best local restaurants, I am able to always have a good meal. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by many great types of food, as well as friendly chefs.

The last out of my top three things to be thankful for are my pets. I am a person who absolutely adores animals, so I always have to have a few pets. Currently, I have two cats and two dogs. They are all very friendly and energetic. When I go home, I love to see them and play with them. They always keep me happy and on my feet. I believe that they have kept me from being overly stressed out with school.

These are the things that I am most thankful for. I look forward to connecting with my family, their food, and my pets this thanksgiving. Lastly, I wish everyone a great and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
