West Texas Angels for Animals will be collecting donated funds and items this Friday, Dec. 5, at the San Angelo Animal Shelter.The monetary donations will be used to underwrite the cost of pet adoptions during the month of December.

Dubbed “Home for the Pawlidays,” the donation drive will be from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at the shelter, 3142 U.S. Highway 277 North. Checks can be made payable to the City of San Angelo Animal Services and mailed to 1907 Douglas Drive, San Angelo, TX 76904. Donated items can include pet food, toys, blankets and leashes.

Adopting a dog from the Animal Shelter costs $85 and a cat $50. That expense includes the animal, spaying/neutering it, vaccinations, microchipping and City tags. Photos of available animals can be viewed at cosatx.us/animals.
