This Saturday, March 5, The People/Plant Connection is proud to offer their Green Thumb Gardener Mini Seminar.

Ron Knight, Master Gardener, will be talking about rainwater harvesting to help your landscape survive the drought. He will also be talking about the Texas Superstar plants that are designated drought tolerant for our area.

By using rainwater and drought tolerant plants, you can have a beautiful landscape without using municipal water. As a special treat, attendees will caravan to his home for a tour of Ron’s extensive rainwater system that maintains his drought tolerant landscaping, including a rain tank that feeds his beautiful, natural pond.

The mini seminar will be held at the Southside Recreation Center at 2750 Ben Ficklin Rd. in San Angelo. It begins at 9:00 a.m. Refreshments and door prizes. Cost is $25 per person. Call to reserve your space and assure handouts and materials: 325-656-3104.

Proceeds from these seminars go toward building the Children’s Adventure Garden under construction and scheduled to open in April. For information about The People/Plant Connection go to their website: www.peopleplantconnection.org
