1st Community Federal Credit Union celebrated the Grand Opening of their new 2,600 square foot office on Goodfellow Air Force Base today.
The office is on Kearney Blvd, the main street of the base, and is located right across from the gas/service station.
Branch Manager, Shelene Black, invites everyone to come check out the new office and take advantage of its great new features and friendly staff.  The new office offers convenient and state-of-the-art lobby service, and in addition provides 3 drive-thru lanes along with a night depository and a drive up ATM.  Lobby services have been expanded to offer a remote transaction kiosk in the front office vestibule for foot traffic during drive-thru hours.  The office also provides safe deposit boxes for members who use the base facility.  The drive-thru kiosks have two-way audio and video capability for member’s safety and convenience.

1st Community President, Bill Nikolauk shared, “1st Community Federal Credit Union had its beginning on Goodfellow AFB when it began as Goodfellow Civilian Federal Credit Union on June 11, 1953 originally serving only civilian employees on the base and we are still proud to call it home.  The Credit Union has seen many changes over the past 59 years.  1st Community FCU now has 3 offices in San Angelo and one each in Ballinger, Eldorado and Fort Stockton and is ready to begin construction of a facility in Midland.”  As a community-chartered credit union, 1st Community offers people living or working in Tom Green and 18 surrounding counties low loan rates, competitive deposit rates, minimal fees, and the latest in user friendly technology.
The new office will be dedicated to Jim Seale – SVP Operations of 1st Community Federal Credit Union who was instrumental in the building’s construction until his death in May of this year.
