Girls Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) is proud to announce their Women of Distinction for 2016.

The honorees are: Judge Marilyn Aboussie, Karen Clark, Carolyn Kirby, Lenora Pool and Teddye Read. The 2016 Distinguished Workplace for Women is being awarded to the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council of the Concho Valley.

This coveted award honors women who have distinguished themselves as outstanding members of their community and who can serve as role models to all Girl Scouts, girls and adults alike. The business is recognized for being a great workplace for women and for supporting leadership opportunities for girls and women. The 2016 event is set for March 24th at the San Angelo McNease Convention Center. The event begins at 6:30pm with registration starting at 6:00. Funds raised by the Women of Distinction luncheon benefit local Girl Scout leadership programs.
