The 16th Archeology Fair will be this Saturday at Fort Concho from 10 until 3, and it's FREE!

Everyone is invited to come out and experience the diversity of cultures by inhabitants of the Concho Valley from long ago.

Learn how drones can help in finding archeological treasures with live fly demos at 11, 12, 1, & 2.

There are lots of "hands on" activities for all ages including "Clues in the Dirt", metal detecting, and making baskets and medicine bags.

Other activities will focus on flint knapping, prehistoric food preparation (with samples), lace making, gourd & pottery painting, spinning, basket weaving, fire making, bow and arrow & athlatl throwing for the kids and more.

This fun event will be at the rear of the Fort Concho Grounds, across from the stables at the end of the barracks row. Activities will be in the barracks courtyard.
