San Angelo, TX—The families of Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, NM, are in our thoughts today, following the shooting there this morning. While blood needs have been met, events like this remind us that tragedy can strike at any time and we have to be ready.
It’s the blood on the shelves that saves lives. And so, even though additional blood donations aren’t needed for this situation, it’s important for people to donate on a regular basis, 2-3 times a year, to make sure blood is available when patients need it. In particular, O-negative blood donations are vital for use in traumas and emergencies.

As an added bonus for donors, those who donate in the donation center or any mobile blood drive during the month of January will be entered in a drawing for a $500 Best Buy card!

For more information or to make an appointment call 325-223-7500 or toll free 800-756-0024 or go on line at unitedbloodservices.org.  United Blood Services Donation Center is located at 2020 W. Beauregard in San Angelo.
