D.E.S.K. Chili Donation Raised $350 for School Supplies
Thanks to the generosity of area chili cooks, the D.E.S.K. program received a check for $350.00 to help provide school supplies for San Angelo Kids!
The D.E.S.K. Program exists solely for the purpose of raising funds to make sure that every child in the San Angelo Independent School District has all the school supplies they need to have a successful school year. Learn more about the DESK program here.
The Concho Valley Chili Pod raises money for a wide variety of Concho Valley Charities throughout the year. Chili cooks from San Angelo, Grape Creek, Paint Rock, and other cities throughout West Texas cook chili and their entry fees, along with proceeds from raffles, bake sales, and other related activities go to help these charities. The Concho Valley Chili Pod is a member of CASI, which is an acronym for Chili Appreciation Society International. You can learn more about CASI here!
Your next chance to help the D.E.S.K. Program will be during the Tax Free Weekend in August. The
next chili cookoffs will be at the San Angelo Coliseum on July 20th & 21st as a part of the Texas Indoor Football Championship.
Janice Miller and Boomer Kingston present the check from the Memorial Weekend Cookoff to Vicki Loso of the D.E.S.K. Program.
