Lorrie Morgan, who had a string of gold and platinum albums in the late 1980's and early to mid 1990's will play in San Angelo this Saturday at the Murphey Performance Hall.  Ticket information is available here.

She was the first female country artist to start her career with three straight platinum albums.  Leave the Light On (1989), Something in Red (1991) and Watch Me (1992), all sold more than a million units.  Her Greatest Hits collection (1999) went DOUBLE Platinum. War Paint (1994), Greater Need (1996) and Shakin’ Things Up (1997) are all Gold Record winners.

She sang “The Sad Cafe“ for the Eagles Tribute album Common Threads: Songs of the Eagles, which was named the CMA Album of the Year in 1994.  She had 14 songs go top 10 on Billboard’s Country Charts and had 7 #1 albums on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.

Lorrie is bring along singer/songwriter, Jesse Keith Whitley who just happens to be the son she had with the late Keith Whitley.
