San Angelo—The San Angelo Police Department is warning local business establishments about recent counterfeit currency circulation and to remain diligent in the inspection of money that you or your employees receive from the public.
Recently, the San Angelo Police Department was made aware of several counterfeit Twenty (20) dollar bills being passed at a local business.
We want to warn retailers to carefully inspect currency and not rely solely on the use of counterfeit money detector pens.
If you suspect you have received counterfeit currency, please call the San Angelo Police Department at (325) 657-4315 to report it.
